Sawaneczka is Salaterka´s firstborn foal and she is as sweet as her dam. I wanted to breed Salaterka to an Ibrahim-stallion from the day she was born and my dream was to breed her to Ecaho (Pepton x Etruria). As I could not breed to him with a live cover for her first breeding as he resides in California, I was looking for another stallion from the same sire-line. It was not an easy task to find a stallion from the Bandos-line here in Sweden. The stallion I ended up breeding her to was Preference as he was double Bandos, Salaterka and him share the same dam-line (Milordka) and later that spring when her dam Sapala had her filly Sawanka by Preference I had high hopes that this combination would turn out to be as great.
Preference was bred by Blommeröd Arabian Stud and he was named the 1992 Swedish National Junior Champion and 2002 Swedish National Champion Stallion. Preference´s sire Pers (Enos x Pentoda) was leased from Janów Podlaski for two seasons and he produced real well here in Sweden as the sire of great mares Necessa, Ambassada and Gadoszca. Preference´s dam Ceremona (Algomej x Cesa) was a valued broodmare at Blommeröd as the dam of both show and performance winners including Swedish National Reserve Champion Certina.
Salaterka´s sire Elton (Etnograf x Elizbieta) was the Arabian of the Year in Harness Driving in 1998. His sire Etnograf is a son of the European Champion Engano (Eleuzis x Engracja) and out of the legendary mare Etna (Faher x Elzunia). Etna is the dam of the great stallions Etiw, Etan, Etap, Eternit and Etnograf as well as the mares Etruria – World, European and Polish Champion Mare and Equitana – Polish National Junior Champion Mare.
Elton´s dam Elizbieta is a daughter of Cadyk (El Paso x Cumparsita) and her dam is the beautiful Emir Said-daughter Ellenora. Emir Said (Ali Said x Eleonora) was one of the circus stallions that Erik Erlandsson importerd to Sweden. Ellenora is line-bred to the great Eleonora (Witraz x Zmora) as her dam Ex Diara is a daughter of Exelsjor (Aquinor x Eleonora). Ex Diara´s dam Diara Mokka (Wielki Szlem x Mokdiara) was the first Swedish National Champion Mare in 1964 when Exelsjor was named Swedish National Champion Stallion.
Salaterka´s dam Sapala (Cadyk x Saldara) was bred by Beit El Kheil Arabians and I chose her to be my foundation mare. Saldara has been a great producer of 10 fillies and 3 colts including Swedish National Junior Champion Filly Saleta and Swedish National Reserve Junior Champion Colt Sargasso.
Sawaneczka was sold as a yearling to the lovely Sunniva Stolanowska in Norway.
